Using Templates

Revisit frequently used prompts and use these as a chat starting point with the Templates feature.

Updated over a week ago

Users can identify standard prompts that are used frequently, for instance about a given topic or with a specific structure, as a template. Users have the ability to create both private Personal Templates and publicly available Group Templates.

When a user interacts with a template, a new interaction begins from the point at which the template was saved. Changes are not saved to the template.

Create a Template

To save a chat as a template, click the three dots to the right of the chat message box. From the Save As Template window, input a Template Name. Use the Assign to: drop-down list to save the template as either a Personal Template, or a Group Template accessible to all members of that group. Click Save.

Using Templates

Templates are saved to the designated Templates section on the navigation panel. To use a template, select a template from the list. A new chat opens and displays the content of the template. Users can continue the chat, using the template as the basis for subsequent messages.

Each template is linked to the LLM in use when the template was created. When a template is selected, CalypsoAI will automatically change the LLM in use to the LLM used in the selected template.

Modifying a Template

Once created, a template can be renamed or deleted by the template creator or group admin. To modify a template, hover over the template name listed in the Templates section of the navigation panel. Select the Edit or Delete icon to rename the template or delete it.
