Creating and Using Templates

Revisit frequently used prompts and use them as a chat starting point with the Templates feature.

Updated over a month ago

Users can identify frequently-used prompts, for instance about a given topic or with a specific structure, as a template. Users have the ability to create Personal Templates, which are for their exclusive use, and Group Templates, which can be used by any member of the group.

Each interaction with a template is a new chat. Changes are not saved to the template.

Create a Template

To save a chat as a template, click the three dots to the right of the chat text box. The Save As Template pop-up window opens. Enter a Template Name and select Personal Template or Current Group [name] from the Assign to: drop-down list. Click Save.

The template name appears in the navigation panel. A scroll bar appears next to the template lists. In the screenshots below, the template named "Tolstoy Summary" appears in the list of personal templates and the template named "Customer of the Month" appears in the list of group templates. Icons next to the template name identify it as a personal or group template, allow the user to edit the name of the template, and allow the user to delete the template.

Using Templates

Select a template from a template list. A new chat opens, displaying the content of the template. Users can continue the chat, using the template as the basis for subsequent messages. Changes are not saved to the template

Each template is linked to the LLM in use when the template was created. When a template is selected, CalypsoAI automatically changes the LLM in use to the LLM used in the selected template.
