We have two scanner packages: The Prompt Injection Package and the PII Package, as shown below. Each scanner in a package searches for specific sensitive or undesirable content. Combining these related scanners into packages enables them to deliver a comprehensive set of nuanced results. These scanners are updated routinely. They are not customizable.
Status
The scanners can be set to block or audit the prompts.
Block: The prompt is prohibited from being sent to the LLM's API and the user receives a message explaining that the prompt content violates the policy. The event is logged for later review or audit purposes.
Audit: The prompt is reviewed and, if content in violation of the policy is present, the event is logged for later review or audit purposes. The prompt is allowed to be sent to the LLM's API. The user is not notified of any violation.
Group Level
Check the Group Level box to allow Group Admins to have the option of activating or not activating one or more of the Package Scanners for their groups. When the box is not checked, the Group Admins cannot exercise any actions over the Package Scanners.
Active
When activated at the global level, the scanner will run on every interaction with every model across all groups and projects. Shift the toggle to the right to activate and to the left to deactivate.
Action
The Scanner Response is the message a user sees when their prompt is blocked. The default message, shown below, can be changed to be more specific.
Click the three dots icon on the line for a scanner to display the option to edit the scanner response. Click Edit Scanner(s) Response, enter the preferred text, then click Save.
GenAI Package Scanners
Check the box to the left of the scanner name to indicate the scanner should be available to run globally.
Check the box next to CalypsoAI GenAI Scanners to indicate all scanner packages should be available to run globally.
Open the Scanning drop-down list and select an option to scan all prompts and responses, just prompts, or just responses. Open the Active drop-down list to activate all or none of the package scanners.
PII Package
The scanners in the PII Package filter for a variety of information described as personally identifiable information (PII), including credit card numbers, birth dates, driver license numbers, email addresses, internet provider (IP) addresses, and other information.
Prompt Injection Package
The scanners in the Prompt Injection Package filter for indirect prompt Injection attempts, adversarial attacks, and jailbreak attempts.
